What we are seeking:
Dynamic professional sought to lead a Sheet Metal Fabrication Area, directly supporting Assembly Operations in a high-mix, medium-volume, semi-custom HVAC manufacturing facility.
 
Major Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity, on-time delivery, quality, and safety.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of machine operators, production leads, and manufacturing engineers – cultivating talent and teamwork to support growth.
  • Optimize machine capability, control, utilization, and material usage for automated, semi-automated, and manual fabrication processes.
  • Manage the Fabrication scheduling process, meeting internal customer demand and continually improving information and material flow.
  • Maintain and improve ISO 9001/14001 certified Quality/EH&S management systems
Qualifications:
 
Education:  BSME or equivalent required, MS Manufacturing Management or MBA preferred
Work Experience:  10 years in manufacturing management or equivalent
  • Competence, commitment, and personal drive to succeed and advance into greater responsibilities, and support the growing company’s succession planning.
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvements through lean manufacturing methods, including Kaizen activity, Six Sigma or similar problem solving methodology, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Total Productive Maintenance, ergonomic layout design, and process control/improvement.
  • Experience with automated sheet metal fabrication systems – ideally Salvagnini FMS
  • Strong computer and system skills, including Microsoft Office and SolidWorks
  • Energetic, hands-on, and results oriented, with values and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with peers.
